TOMMY (SOLDIER #1, LOCAL LAD, 1ST PINBALL LAD)
Dean Balkwill is from Regina, Saskatchewan, and is currently living in Toronto, where he has appeared in the musicals Chess and A Chorus Line. Dean spent the summer of 1995 at the Charlottetown Festival, where he was a member of the Confederation Centre Young Company and performed as Rusty Charlie in the Main Stage production of Guys And Dolls. He has toured in Canada, the U.S., Korea and China as a singer, dancer and musician. Dean has performed with Globe Theatre, and he was a member of the musical group Saskatchewan Express for two years. In July 1994, he attended the International Model and Talent Association contest in New York and was awarded first runner-up as male talent of the year. He thanks his family, Craig and Krista for all they've done. "I couldn't do it without you."

RENT - Canadian Cast (ENSEMBLE)
Originally from Saskatchewan, Dean recently moved to Toronto to find his life. As much as Dean loves being involved in such an incredible show with such an amazing cast, instead of rambling on and on about his previous credits, he would like to share his most important roles: being husband to the most incredible woman, ever, and in June '98, becoming a dad. "Thank you my Heavenly Father for providing me in every way. And, 'Little One,' I love you."
